Instructions:
-
Make the centerpiece & drop.
-
Using the small oval jump rings, attach a Green flower to one side of
a Pink flower, and a Lt. Sapphire flower to the other side of the Pink
one. Each flower has 10 loops on the filigree behind the crystal petals.
Be sure that a petal on the Pink flower is facing up (the top) and attach
the other flowers to each side of this top petal (going clockwise- on the
1st and the 9th loop, with the 10th being the very top). Be sure all flowers
are facing the same direction.
-
Cut a piece of chain approx. ¾" long. Attach the chain to the very bottom
loop (the 5th one) of the Pink flower, using another oval jump ring (See
Jump Ring Directions). It should be directly across from the top loop.
Note: This chain is very fine and made up of multiple loops. To make
sure it stays secure in the jump rings, try to hook 2 pieces or loops from
the chain. This may take a little patience but is worth the extra security.
-
From the bottom of this piece of chain, hang the Pink crystal drop.
Again using the oval jump ring. All connections (except for the last one
using the 5mm Round jump ring) will be using the oval jump ring.
-
Now working up one side of the necklace, cut 2 pieces of chain approx.
1" long (set one piece aside for the other side of the necklace). Attach
to the top petal of one of the top flowers in the above grouping. The
petal should be directly across from the one used in step 1a., to attach
the top flower to the center Pink flower.
-
On the other end of this chain, attach one of the Pink Links.
-
Cut 4 pieces of chain, each approx. ¾" long. Attach one to the opposite
side of the Pink Link (set 2 of these aside for the other side).
-
Again link 3 different colored flowers together, putting the Pink flower
in between the other 2. Be sure to link them in a stack or a straight
line, one on top of the other, instead of like the drop from the above
steps.
Now attach this group of three to the chain from step 2b. You may
want to arrange the colors so that no two colors are side by side. If
you are working up the side with the Green flower on the top of the centerpiece,
you may want to attach the Sapphire flower to the chain. On the opposite
side of the necklace, attach the Green flower to the side with the Sapphire
flower on top of the center grouping.
-
Attach the other piece of ¾" chain to the other end of the stacked flower
link and hook a Pink Link to it.
-
Cut the remaining length of chain in half and attach one to the remaining
loop of the link. Set aside the remaining piece of chain for the opposite
side of the necklace
-
Complete the other side of the necklace using the cut chain pieces that
were set aside.
-
Attach the clasp to one end of the necklace, and the jump ring to the
other end. The 5mm jump ring fits very snugly onto this chain, especially
when trying to attach 2 links. To help it on, try using a push pin to
gently "round out" the 2 chain links. This will make attaching easier.
