Instructions:
This Bracelet is approx. 6½" in length, an average size bracelet. We did
not use a needle with this project, but they can be used see Stretchy cording
page in Rings & Things' Catalog for the ones that work with this cord.
-
- Start stringing beads approx. 3" from one end of cord. String a Heishi
bead, Seed bead, Topaz Cathedral, Seed bead, Heishi, Seed, Oval bead, Seed,
Oval, Seed, Heishi, Seed, Olivine Cathedral, and another Seed bead.
- String back through the first heishi bead. This first loop of beads is
the starting point. Also, the project will end at the first Heishi bead.
-
-
On the working cord (the longer side without the knot), thread a Seed,
Oval, Seed, Oval, Seed, Heishi, Seed, Topaz Cathedral, Seed, and pulling
the cord down, go through the Heishi on the opposite loop directly below
the Olivine Cathedral bead. Notice how this new group of beads forms a
loop. Pull beads snug but not tight! Beads should be side by side but
the cord should not be stretched out of shape.
- The 3rd group of beads starts with a Seed bead, Oval, Seed, Oval, Seed,
Heishi, Seed, Topaz Cathedral, Seed, and again pull cord up through the
Heishi of the second group.
-
Continue around the bracelet making the same pattern for each new group.
Be sure to attach each group to the appropriate Heishi bead. Make a total
of 18 groups, using 19 Cathedral beads. The last bead of the 18th group
should be a Heishi and it should be on the opposite side (top or bottom)
of the very first group.

-
- To finish off the bracelet, string the 19th group starting with a Seed
bead, Oval, Seed, Oval, and a Seed bead.
Pull the working cord into the Heishi bead of outside corner of the 1st group.
- From the other side of the Heishi, string a Seed bead, the last Olivine
Cathedral bead, a Seed bead and again pull the cord into the outside Heishi
bead of the 18th group. This will have completed the 19th group.

- Now string another Seed bead, Oval, Seed, Oval, and the last Seed bead.
Cord should now be directly next to the end cord. Make sure each group
is snug. Do NOT pull the cord into the Heishi bead.

- Tie a knot in the 2 cords and dab it with a little glue, like Tenax or
SuperGlue. (Putting the bracelet around an unopened soda can may help
you tie the knot.) Hide the knot in the closest heishi bead. Carefully
trim excess cording
