Rosary Style Linked Fish Necklace (#68-002-06)

Making the Necklace:

A. Make the connecting links:
  1. String an 'E' bead onto an eye pin. Trim excess and make a loop. (See eye pin loop instructions.) Continue this step until there are 24 made. Set aside.
  2. Now string 3 seed beads, an 'E' bead, and 3 more seed beads onto an eye pin and make a loop. Make 20 of these.

B. Connect links to make a chain:
  1. Attach a small jump ring to one end of an eye pin with only an 'E' bead on it. (Open an eye pin like you open a jump ring. See jump ring directions.)
  2. Starting with the other end of that eye pin, connect a seed bead eye pin, then another 'E' bead, seed bead, 'E' bead, etc.
  3. Once you connect 4 of the 'E' bead eye pins, attach a fish using a jump ring. Attach to the mouth of the fish so it will be facing down the necklace.
  4. At the tail, put on a jump ring and continue pattern, starting with the 'E' bead. Stop design at the 8th 'E' bead from the tail.
  5. Repeat B1-4 for opposite side of necklace. The design, including the fish, should line up evenly on both sides.

C. Add dangle:
  1. On one paddle, string 3 seed beads, an 'E' bead, and approx. 13 more seed beads (make sure there's enough room to make the loop). Make loop.
  2. Cut approximately 1/8" (3mm) off the remaining 2 paddles. On each of those paddles, string 3 seed beads, an 'E' bead, and 6 more seed beads. Make a loop.
  3. Hang all 3 paddles from a jump ring, putting the longest paddle in the middle. Face all loops towards the back.

  4. Use a second jump ring to attach the tail of the remaining fish to the jump ring at the top of C3.
  5. Use another jump ring to hook the mouth of the dangling fish (from step C4) to the 2 jump rings at the bottom of the necklace's side pieces.

D. Attach the clasp to one end of the necklace using the last jump ring.

E. On the opposite end of the chain, attach the split ring.
