Goldstone

Goldstone: Also known as sandstone, goldstone is a shimmering manmade gemstone that can be flashy or elegant, depending on how you use it. All colors of goldstone beads - whether reddish rust, lush green, or deep blue goldstone - are made of glass imbued with tiny copper inclusions. Copper salts are added to liquid glass, and then, through a special cooling process, the glass is held at a specific temperature for a length of time before being allowed to cool. As the glass cools, the salts turn into copper crystals, creating the unique sparkle and flashy metallic gleam in these semiprecious beads and pendants.
