Geometric Chevron Earrings Tutorial

These geometric, simplistic, edgy metallic long chain earrings feature double spike Swarovski crystals! The attention-grabbing, lightweight earrings look like a million bucks but, they are actually very inexpensive and easy to make.

Designer Tips

Add a spike bead and 1 of each size heishi bead to a head pin. Make a wire wrapped loop. For looping instructions, and best way to open and close loops, see Jewelry Basics 101 (PDF)
Punch 1/16" holes at the ends of the Chevrons.
Cut two approximately 2" pieces for the beaded spike dangles. Cut two approximately 5" sections of chain, and fold each in half, running a jump ring through the middle link of each. For maximum movement and dazzle, use small jump rings to attach all components.

Before attaching the copper chevrons, use the Ultra Polish pads to bring the copper blanks to a high shine. You'll be amazed at what these little workhorse polish pads can do!

Alternate design option: You could create a striking tassel by adding a few lengths of chain to dangle and flow around the double spike. This design uses copper, but mixed metals would work well, too!

2 each #44-780-66 24ga Copper Stamping Blank, Chevron, 14x4mm
1 pack #63-528 EURO TOOL Polishing Pads, Ultra, 2x2" (for creating maximum shine on the chevrons)
