Dakota Stones Australian Chrysoprase 13x18-15x18mm 5 Piece Irregular Oval Bead Strand

This Australian Chrysoprase is from the DS Premier line. This limited edition strand is specialty cut from “gem quality” grade Chyrsoprase.  They left parts of the host rock that Chrysoprase forms in to provide the brown contrast to the transparent green of the A-grade Chrysoprase. This brown and green contrast is sometimes referred to as Boulder Chrysoprase.
Chrysoprase is a bright apple green, translucent stone, whose color often caused ancient jewelers to confuse it with Emerald. A cryptocrystalline Chalcedony, its brilliant color comes from the presence of very small inclusions of Nickel compounds, as opposed to the presence of Chromium which creates Emerald's green color. Chrysoprase is believed to balance the heart chakra and help one understand their needs and emotions.
