Not sure what size bead cap to use? A good rule of thumb is to use bead caps with a diameter at least 1mm less than your bead. (In other words, use a 5mm bead cap for a 6mm bead.) There are, of course, exceptions depending on the look you're going for.

- Briolette caps are more like a bail: add the briolette cap to your briolette or teardrop, pinch the prongs inward, and then attach the briolette cap to an ear wire or stringing material. (You may need to use a jump ring.)
