• Brass heads work great for striking metal stamps - in fact we recommend always using brass hammers to hit steel stamps. Since brass is a softer metal than steel, this helps prevent your stamps from being damaged.
• Steel heads come in several styles including chasing hammers and ball pein hammers. These work great for directly texturing and shaping metal sheet and metal blanks.
• Texturing hammers also have steel heads, which makes them perfect for adding textures directly to stamping blanks and sheet metal made of softer metals.
• Nylon heads give you a soft head for smoothing and straightening deformed metal without marring it.
