Description
Raw brass will vary in color, and is not as shiny as most plated finishes.
For an antiqued look, try an oxidizing solution such as Win-Ox™. Or, to make your raw brass items shinier, tumble-polish them with steel shot, water and a burnishing compound (to prevent rust on the shot) in a basic rock tumbler. Rinse well and dry with some agitation (a heat lamp, warm boxwood sawdust or other method will speed drying.)

fun to hammer!
Since these brass disks are NOT plated, they are great for metalworking! Try doming them with a dapping set, stamping words onto them, etc. So much more than just a bead!
