These faceted beads emulate crystal at a more-affordable price. Czech firepolish beads are perfect for delicate antique-style jewelry, and are also ideal for repairing or updating antique jewelry. In a series of techniques going back centuries, they are created by pressing glass in a mold to make the bead, then faceting it by machine. The bead's surface is then slightly melted to "fire polish" it by putting it back into a heat source to give it a better luster. This process slightly rounds off the facets. Hole size for all firepolish beads is .8-1.2mm, unless otherwise noted.
