Depending on the length of your posts, and thickness of your ear lobe, you may need to trim the length of the plastic sleeve slightly, so the plastic backs can fit securely on the posts. As some reviewers have noted, trimming the plastic sleeve (post cover) also prevents the cover from splitting when you add the earring back. E'arrs pierced ear protectors can also be used with hoops and ear wires. Some users like to cut the larger end of the sleeve off when using them with hoops and ear wires. The protective sleeve does add some thickness to your post or wire, so these may cause your ear piercing to stretch the first few times you wear them. Some users have reported that adding a bit of Vaseline or E'earrs Ear Care Gel to the outside of the sleeve helps. Happily Wearing Earrings Again

The first time I tried them I had trouble getting the backs on and the post sleeve split apart. I realized the sleeve was too long and when I put the back on, it split. I started again, but cut the sleeve first to leave room for the back. Worked perfectly! Love the product

    E'arrs? Ear Protectors

These are the best thing I have found for those who want to wear metal but are allergic to the metal.

    Love them!!

I make dichroic glass earrings and was never able to wear them, UNTIL NOW!!! I tried the ear protectors today for the first time. Tonight my husband complimented my earrings. I had totally forgotten that I was wearing them! AWESOME!!
