Description
Using a steel hammer on steel stamps, can damage (or even shatter!) your metal stamps, and is likely to bounce and give you the dreaded double impression. This is why we recommend always using brass hammers to hit steel stamps. Brass is a softer metal than steel, so don't worry when your brass hammer head gets dented (this is normal).

Brass hammer
Brass hammers will have a less bouncy, dead blow effect. They will change shape and flake a bit with use. This is normal. This hammer works exactly as it should.
