Description
White-heart beads are named after their white center, which adds brilliance to the colored glass surrounding it. Another name for these beads is "Cornaline d' Allepo," which translated literally to "Carnelian of Allepo" or "Agate of Allepo." The word Allepo refers to "Leishmaniasis," a parasitic disease found primarily in inter-tropical and temperate regions. People are said to have traditionally worn white-heart beads (as well as carnelian and other agates) as talismans to ward off this disease.

General inquire
Is it have more pictures it cos beads some kind like tube ? [R & T Reply: Hi Allen, Yes, these beads vary in shape. Some are tube shaped, and most are rounded, like E bead, crow bead or pony beads. These are old beads, originally made in Italy, and then traded around the world, and brought to us from Africa. Each strand may contain a mixture, or be all the same.]
