Swarovski Crystal Candy Corn Earrings Tutorial
Created by: The Swarovski Crystal design team
Designer Tips
- Cut wire into two equal pieces 18" long.
- Load onto one piece of wire: 13 Swarovski XILION Beads in Sunflower. Moving 6 beads off to one side, and keeping the 7 remaining beads in the center of the wire, take the wire exiting from the 6 beads and string the wire through all 7 beads. (Note: the wire tails should be exiting in opposite directions from the 7 beads. The 6 beads should be sitting on top of and in between the 7 Sunflower beads. It is important to keep tension on the wire when weaving.)
- String 5 orange (hyacinth or tangerine) Swarovski crystal bicone beads onto one of the wire sides. Take the wire from the side with no beads, and string the wire through the 5 beads. (Note: the wire tails should be exiting in opposite directions from the 5 beads, and the 5 beads should be centered above the previous 6 beads.)
- Repeat previous step using 4 hyacinth (orange) bicone beads.
- Repeat previous step using 3 hyacinth (orange) bicone beads.
- Repeat previous step using 2 white alabaster bicone beads.
- Repeat previous step using 1 white alabaster bicone bead.
- Bring wire ends together, and smooth both pieces of wire together. Use round-nose pliers to form a loop, and use your fingers to securely wrap remaining wire approximately 5 times around the base of the loop. Trim excess.
- Add an alabaster crystal bicone bead to an ear wire, and make a simple loop, using 1-step looper or your favorite looping pliers.
- Make sure all your loops are facing the proper direction for the earrings to hang straight. If not, adjust them before attaching candy corn to ear wire. Carefully twist ear wire loop open, add candy corn loop, then twist securely closed.
- Repeat for other earring. Go forth and SPARKLE!
