This has saved me a few times...
A few times I have been polishing pieces and they just get away from me and go flying. The splash guard has saved me from getting beaned with a piece a few times now. My only issue is that the polisher sits on top of this and it's not mounted down and it moves. But it's still a great investment to save me from flying pieces now and then.
