Description
Rich, golden-hued yellow jade beads are also known as butterscotch agate beads, but in fact they are made from a type of serpentine. Semiprecious serpentine gemstones are translucent, waxy silicates of magnesium which often come in shades of green and have historically been confused with types of jade. Serpentine, however, is softer and less dense than most real jade. Serpentine is said to restore self-confidence, dispel fear, and enhance meditation.
